Giants of Bashan? Exploring the Golan Heights’ mysterious dolmens and Gilgal Rephaim

Who built the massive stone structures scattered across Israel’s Golan Heights?
Known as dolmens and megalithic stone circles, these mysterious constructions were built from enormous volcanic basalt stones—some weighing far more than a person could lift. Yet the people who built them left behind almost no other evidence of their lives.
In this episode, Ran Silberman of ALL ISRAEL NEWS explores the mysterious ancient landscape of the Golan Heights, the biblical region of Bashan, and the story of Og, king of Bashan, whose enormous bed is described in Deuteronomy 3. The mystery deepens at Gilgal Refaim, where tens of thousands of stones form enormous concentric circles around a central stone structure. Was it a burial site? A ceremonial center? Something connected to ancient astronomy? No one knows for certain.
And recently, Israeli scholars have identified dozens more previously unknown stone circles in the Golan Heights.
Who built them? Why did they move so many massive stones? And could these mysterious monuments have anything to do with the biblical Rephaim?
Were there giants? What do you think?

Jesus Calmed the Storm… Then He Faced the Demons — The Hidden Connection in the Gospels

What connects Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee with the demons He cast into a herd of pigs?
The three Synoptic Gospels connect these two events—and together they tell a much deeper story.
Jesus tells His disciples to cross to “the other side.” A terrifying storm erupts, and Jesus rebukes the wind and the water. When they arrive, He encounters a man possessed by many demons who immediately recognize Him as the Son of God. Jesus then commands the demons to leave, sending them into a herd of pigs.
In this episode, Ran Silberman explores the connection between these two dramatic scenes, the parallel with the story of Jonah, the meaning of “the other side,” and the biblical picture of Jesus exercising authority not only over nature, but over the kingdom of darkness.
The story raises a powerful question: Why did Jesus deliberately cross into “the other side”?

Where was Jesus Baptised?

Where was Jesus baptized by John the Baptist? Filmed at Qasr al-Yahud on the Jordan River, Ran Silberman discusses the historic and biblical debate over the exact location of Jesus’ baptism.

Pilgrims from around the world come to this site on the Israeli side of the river to be baptized, while another traditional site lies just across the water in Jordan. Using the Gospel of John, ancient traditions, and the geography of the Jordan River, Ran examines the biblical reference to “Bethany beyond the Jordan” and why scholars still debate which side of the river the event took place on.
